Acer X960 Review

Acer X960 is a not very powerful Windows Mobile Professional phone launched in February 2009, provisioned with a 2.8 inches resistive touch-screen, a powerful 533 MHz CPU and a 3.2 megapixels back-facing camera. We will get a better understanding of this cellphone's characteristics when we get into more details.

This cellphone is 4.19 inches long and 2.32" wide, it just packs a way smaller 2.8" screen. This device is a bit thick compared to current cellphones, being as thick as 0.54". In this case, Acer forgot about optimizing the weight, putting together a 4.64 ounces device.

Acer packed this phone with a good looking 2.8-inches screen, and a resolution of 640 x 480 (VGA), which makes it hard to distinguish the pixels in the screen. This screen uses TFT resistive technology, but it's not multi-touch.

Acer equipped the Acer X960 with a powerful 533 megahertz CPU and as little as 128 MB of RAM.

This cellphone is equipped with only a 3.2 megapixels back side camera. In addition, the camera counts with flash.

The Acer X960 has a 1530 mAh medium Li-Ion battery that can keep it running for some hours, but you may need to charge it after some moderate to heavy usage. Acer says this cellphone has a talk time of 4 hs and a stand by time of 150 hs.

The Acer X960 offers wifi connection (but it can't provide it to other devices acting as a router or modem) and the fastest 3G connection type, using HSDPA, HSUPA, UMTS and EDGE technologies. This phone works with a SIM card for GSM carriers.

This cellphone also comes with a few cool features as Bluetooth (provides communication with other devices, computers, and accessories) and GPS, and Light Sensor.

This phone is priced around $ 1360, which is a high price for a phone this level.
