The iPhone 12 mini has a general score of 88.5, which is a bit better than the Samsung Galaxy S6's global score of 83.5. Even though iPhone 12 mini is just a little bit thicker than the Samsung Galaxy S6, it's a bit lighter and also incredibly newer. The iPhone 12 mini has iOS 14.x operating system, and Samsung Galaxy S6 counts with Android 5.0 operating system.
The Samsung Galaxy S6 has a bit better looking screen than Apple iPhone 12 mini, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a little bit more pixels per display inch and a higher resolution of 2560 x 1440px. The Apple iPhone 12 mini counts with a much better storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Galaxy S6, because it has 64 GB internal memory capacity.
The iPhone 12 mini features just a bit better hardware performance than Galaxy S6, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics co-processor and an inferior number of cores (but faster), and they both have a 64-bit processing unit, the iPhone 12 mini also counts with more RAM. Galaxy S6 counts with just a bit better battery life than iPhone 12 mini, because it has a 2550mAh battery size.
Samsung Galaxy S6 has a camera that is just as good as the camera in iPhone 12 mini, because although the Samsung Galaxy S6 has slower 30 fps video frame rates and a smaller camera aperture, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video resolution, it also counts with a back facing camera with lot more MP.
Although iPhone 12 mini is a better device, it costs a lot more than Galaxy S6, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Galaxy S6. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can buy Galaxy S6, letting go a couple features, but you will get the most with your budget.
