Galaxy Note 3 works with Android 5.0 OS, and iPhone 6 Plus comes with iOS 8.x OS.

IPhone 6 Plus features a little more vivid screen than Samsung Galaxy Note 3, because although it has a little smaller display, and they both have exactly the same resolution of 1920 x 1080, the iPhone 6 Plus also counts with a little higher pixels amount per display inch. The Galaxy Note 3 counts with a superior memory capacity for apps and games than iPhone 6 Plus, because it has an external memory slot that allows up to 64 GB and 16 GB more internal memory capacity.

IPhone 6 Plus and Galaxy Note 3 count with very similar processing units, because although the Galaxy Note 3 has a 32-bit processor instead of 64-bits, and they both have a 450 megahertz GPU, it also counts with 2 GB more RAM memory and a higher number of cores. Samsung Galaxy Note 3 counts with a slightly better camera than iPhone 6 Plus, because although it has a tinier back camera sensor which offers a worse image and video quality, and they both have a F2.2 aperture, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 also counts with a way higher 3840x2160 video resolution and a much higher 13 MP resolution back camera.

Galaxy Note 3 has a bit longer battery lifetime than Apple iPhone 6 Plus, because it has a 3200mAh battery size against 2915mAh.

Although Galaxy Note 3 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the iPhone 6 Plus, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the iPhone 6 Plus. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy the Galaxy Note 3, otherwise you can save some dollars and buy the iPhone 6 Plus, giving up some specifications.
