Motorola Droid X is slightly better than Kyocera Hydro Wave, getting a overall score of 53.7 against 52. Both devices in this review use Android operating system, but the Motorola Droid X has the previous 2.3 version and Kyocera Hydro Wave has Android 5.1. Motorola Droid X's construction is just a bit thinner than the Kyocera Hydro Wave, but it is a little heavier and was released 5 years before.
The Kyocera Hydro Wave counts with a little faster processing unit than Motorola Droid X, and although they both have 1 CPU cores, the Kyocera Hydro Wave also has more RAM. The Motorola Droid X features a little more vivid screen than Kyocera Hydro Wave, because although it has a little bit worse resolution of 854 x 480 and a bit smaller display, it also counts with a quite better number of pixels per display inch.
Kyocera Hydro Wave shoots clearer videos and photos than Motorola Droid X, although it has a back-facing camera with a way worse 5 MP resolution and a lower (HD) video resolution. Kyocera Hydro Wave has a slightly better storage capacity for games and applications than Motorola Droid X, and although they both have an external SD slot that holds a maximum of 32 GB, the Kyocera Hydro Wave also has 1,34 GB more internal storage.
The Kyocera Hydro Wave features a way better battery duration than Motorola Droid X, because it has 2300mAh of battery capacity.
