Comparison review
Galaxy Note 3 has a general score of 79.5, which is just a bit better than the Xperia Z3's overall score of 75.8. These devices work with Android OS, but the Galaxy Note 3 has a more recent 5.0 version while Xperia Z3 has Android 4.4.4, giving some additional features and enhanced performance. Galaxy Note 3 is better than the Xperia Z3, it must be noted that it is also older, a little heavier and somewhat thicker.
The Xperia Z3 counts with a bit sharper screen than Galaxy Note 3, because although it has a little bit smaller display, and they both have exactly the same resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, the Xperia Z3 also counts with a little better quantity of pixels in each inch of display. Galaxy Note 3 counts with a bigger memory to store more apps and games than Xperia Z3, because although it has an external SD slot that holds 64 GB smaller, it also counts with 16 GB more internal memory capacity.
The Xperia Z3 features just a bit better processing power than Galaxy Note 3. Both have the same RAM memory amount, the same number of cores and a 450 megahertz graphics processor. The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 features a bit superior battery life than Xperia Z3, because it has a 3200mAh battery capacity.
Sony Xperia Z3 has a bit better camera than Galaxy Note 3, and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality, the Sony Xperia Z3 also has a way bigger camera sensor taking way better quality pictures and videos, a back camera with a lot better resolution and a bigger aperture.
Although Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Sony Xperia Z3, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Sony Xperia Z3. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can buy the Sony Xperia Z3, giving up some specs and features, but you'll get the most out of your savings.
