The Galaxy Note 3 is much better than the Moto X (2014), with a general score of 81.1 against 73.4. The Galaxy Note 3 design is somewhat thinner than the Moto X (2014), although it is heavier and was released just 12 months before. Both phones in this review include the same Android 5.0 OS. The Motorola Moto X (2014) features just a little better performance than Samsung Galaxy Note 3, although it has lesser RAM memory, they both have 4 cpu cores and a 450 megahertz GPU.
Moto X (2014) has a little sharper screen than Galaxy Note 3, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, and they both have the same exact resolution of 1920 x 1080, the Moto X (2014) also counts with a little bit more pixels per inch in the screen. The Galaxy Note 3 takes a little bit better pictures and videos than Moto X (2014). Both have the same video resolution, the same aperture, the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, the same resolution back facing camera and the same sensor size.
Samsung Galaxy Note 3 has a much bigger memory for applications and games than Moto X (2014), because it has a SD memory card expansion slot that holds up to 64 GB and 32 GB more internal storage capacity. The Galaxy Note 3 has a much better battery lifetime than Moto X (2014), because it has 3200mAh of battery capacity against 2300mAh.
Galaxy Note 3 costs a bit more money than Motorola Moto X (2014), but you can get a better phone for that few more dollars.
