Both phones in this review use Android OS, but Samsung Galaxy S4 has 4.4.4 version while Xiaomi Redmi 5 has Android 7.1 Nougat. The Samsung Galaxy S4 is a much older and a bit thicker cellphone than the Xiaomi Redmi 5, but Samsung was able to make it somewhat lighter anyway.
The Galaxy S4 counts with just a bit better processing power than Xiaomi Redmi 5, because although it has lesser RAM and a lower number of cores , it also counts with a graphics co-processor.
