Comparison review
The Galaxy S6 Edge is a bit better than Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, with a score of 83.5 against 81.9. The Galaxy S6 Edge is an extremely older phone than the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, but Samsung was able to build it extremely thinner and a lot lighter. Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge counts with a much better display than Galaxy S8 Active, because although it has a bit smaller display and a bit worse resolution of 2560 x 1440px, it also counts with a just a bit more pixels per inch in the display.
Galaxy S6 Edge features a bit superior processor than Galaxy S8 Active, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM, and they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Galaxy S6 Edge also counts with an additional GPU and a 64-bits processing unit. Galaxy S8 Active counts with a superior camera than Galaxy S6 Edge, because although it has a worse 3840x2160 video resolution and a way worse 12 megapixels resolution camera in the back, it also counts with a bigger aperture for better photography and videos in low-light environments and a larger back-facing camera sensor taking more light and vivid colors.
Galaxy S8 Active has a much better memory capacity to install applications and games than Galaxy S6 Edge, and although they both have exactly the same 64 GB internal memory capacity, the Galaxy S8 Active also has an external SD slot that holds a maximum of 256 GB. Galaxy S8 Active features a way better battery duration than Galaxy S6 Edge, because it has a 54 percent more battery capacity.
Although Galaxy S6 Edge is a better device, it is way more expensive than Galaxy S8 Active, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Galaxy S8 Active. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy Galaxy S6 Edge, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and buy the Galaxy S8 Active, letting go a couple specifications.
