Xperia 5 II has a score of 87.2, which is slightly better than the Galaxy S6 Edge's 85.7 general score. Although Xperia 5 II is newer than the Galaxy S6 Edge, it is somewhat heavier and a bit thicker. Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge counts with a more vivid display than Sony Xperia 5 II, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a quite better 2560 x 1440 resolution and a better quantity of pixels per inch in the screen.

The Sony Xperia 5 II has a lot bigger storage capacity for apps and games than Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, and although they both have exactly the same internal memory, the Sony Xperia 5 II also has an external SD slot that holds a maximum of 1000 GB. The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge features just a bit better processing power than Xperia 5 II, because although it has a lower amount of RAM, and they both have 8 CPU cores, the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge also counts with a 64-bits CPU and a graphics co-processor.

The Sony Xperia 5 II features a superior battery lifetime than Galaxy S6 Edge, because it has a 4000mAh battery size instead of 2600mAh. Sony Xperia 5 II takes way better videos and photos than Galaxy S6 Edge, because although it has a camera with way less megapixels and a lower 3840x2160 video quality, it also counts with a much bigger camera sensor capturing way higher quality photographs and videos and a larger diafragm aperture to take better low-light photography and video.
