Both of these phones come with Android OS, but the Motorola edge has newer 10 version and Galaxy S6 has Android 5.0 version, so it provides the user some extra features. Motorola edge's body is way newer, but a lot heavier and much thicker than Galaxy S6.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 features a bit faster processor than Motorola edge, because although it has 3 GB lesser RAM, and they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Samsung Galaxy S6 also counts with a 64 bits processor and a graphics processing unit. Galaxy S6 counts with a way better display than Motorola edge, because although it has a way smaller screen, it also counts with a better resolution of 2560 x 1440 and a greater quantity of pixels per inch of screen.

Motorola edge has a very superior memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Galaxy S6, because it has 128 GB more internal memory capacity and an external memory card slot that supports up to 1000 GB. The Motorola edge features a way better camera than Galaxy S6, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 video resolution and the same 30 fps video frame rates, the Motorola edge also has a much larger back-facing camera sensor shooting much higher quality videos and photographs, a camera in the back with a way higher 64 MP resolution and a larger camera aperture to capture better captures and video in poorly lited environments.

Motorola edge counts with a way better battery life than Samsung Galaxy S6, because it has a 4500mAh battery size.

Although Motorola edge is a better device, it costs a lot more than Galaxy S6, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Galaxy S6. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy the Motorola edge, but if you don't you can save a couple dollars and get the Galaxy S6, giving up a couple features and specs.
