Comparison review

Google Nexus 6P is slightly better than Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, getting a score of 79.6 against 78.1. The Google Nexus 6P construction is heavier but just a little bit thinner than Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, and both were released only 5 months apart. Both phones in our current comparison include Android OS, but the Google Nexus 6P has the previous 6.0 version while Samsung Galaxy S7 edge has Android 8.0 Oreo.

Galaxy S7 edge has a little bit better performance than Google Nexus 6P, because it has a larger number of faster cores and a larger amount of RAM. Google Nexus 6P has just a bit better looking display than Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, because although it has a bit less pixels per screen inch, and they both have the same exact 2560 x 1440 resolution, the Google Nexus 6P also counts with a quite larger screen.

The Google Nexus 6P features a quite bigger memory for games and applications than Galaxy S7 edge, because although it has no slot for an SD memory card, it also counts with 96 GB more internal memory capacity. Galaxy S7 edge captures just a bit better videos and photos than Google Nexus 6P, because although it has a tinier back camera sensor which gives a worse image and video quality, a worse (4K) video quality and a back facing camera with a worse 12 megapixels resolution, it also counts with a larger diafragm aperture to capture better low light photos and video.

Galaxy S7 edge has a bit longer battery life than Google Nexus 6P, because it has 3600mAh of battery capacity.

Although Google Nexus 6P is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Galaxy S7 edge, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Galaxy S7 edge. So if you want that extra specs, you can buy the Google Nexus 6P, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and get the Galaxy S7 edge, giving up some features and specs.
