Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge has an overall score of 83.5, which is a little bit better than Galaxy S8 Active's 81.9 global score. Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge's design is much thinner and lighter than Galaxy S8 Active, despite of the fact that it was released many years before. Galaxy S6 Edge features a bit superior processor than Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, because although it has a lower amount of RAM memory, and they both have 8 cores, the Galaxy S6 Edge also counts with an additional GPU and a 64-bit processing unit.
The Galaxy S6 Edge features a much better screen than Galaxy S8 Active, because although it has a little bit worse resolution of 2560 x 1440 and a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a just a bit more pixels per inch in the screen. Galaxy S8 Active features a lot bigger storage capacity to install applications and games than Galaxy S6 Edge, and although they both have exactly the same 64 GB internal storage, the Galaxy S8 Active also has a slot for an external memory card that holds a maximum of 256 GB.
Galaxy S8 Active features a much better battery performance than Galaxy S6 Edge, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity. The Samsung Galaxy S8 Active counts with a better camera than Galaxy S6 Edge, because although it has a worse video quality and a back camera with much less mega pixels resolution, it also counts with a bigger camera sensor shooting higher quality photos and videos and a larger diafragm aperture to capture better low light photos.
Although Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Galaxy S8 Active, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Galaxy S8 Active. If you want to save a few dollars, you can buy Galaxy S8 Active, giving up a few features and specifications, but you'll get the most with your budget.
