The Galaxy Note Edge has a global score of 81.7, which is slightly better than Xperia Z3's 77.3 overall score. The Galaxy Note Edge body is a little bit thinner but just a little heavier than Xperia Z3, and they were released only 0 months apart. Both phones in our current comparison include Android OS (Operating System), but the Galaxy Note Edge has 5.0 version and Xperia Z3 has Android 4.4.4 version, giving some extra features and optimized performance.

The Xperia Z3 and the Galaxy Note Edge count with similar screens, although the Galaxy Note Edge also has a little bit more pixels per inch in the screen, a higher resolution of 2560 x 1440px and a quite larger screen. Galaxy Note Edge features a bit better performance than Xperia Z3, and although they both have the same RAM memory amount and the same number of cores, the Galaxy Note Edge also has a much better graphics co-processor working at 500 megahertz.

The Galaxy Note Edge has as much storage capacity for games and applications as the Xperia Z3, both of them have exactly the same 32 GB internal memory capacity and a slot for an external memory card that admits up to 128 GB. Xperia Z3 counts with just a little better battery life than Samsung Galaxy Note Edge, because it has a 7 percent greater battery capacity.

Sony Xperia Z3 takes a bit better videos and photos than Galaxy Note Edge, and although they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 video quality, the Sony Xperia Z3 also has a larger diafragm aperture, a back facing camera with way more megapixels and a larger camera sensor capturing higher quality photographs.

Although Samsung Galaxy Note Edge is a better device, it is way more expensive than Sony Xperia Z3, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Sony Xperia Z3. If you want to save some dollars, you can buy the Sony Xperia Z3, giving up a few features and specs, but you'll get the most out of your budget.
