The Samsung Galaxy S WiFi 4.0 is a bit better than the Acer ICONIA TAB A501, having a general score of 54.2 against 52.9. Both of these tablets come with Android OS (operating system), but the Samsung Galaxy S WiFi 4.0 has the older 2.3.5 version and Acer ICONIA TAB A501 has Android 3.2 version. Even when the Samsung Galaxy S WiFi 4.0 and the Acer ICONIA TAB A501 were only released with a couple months difference, the Samsung Galaxy S WiFi 4.0 is noticeably thinner and a lot lighter.

The Acer ICONIA TAB A501 features just a bit better processing power than Galaxy S WiFi 4.0, because it has a higher number of cores and more RAM. Galaxy S WiFi 4.0 features a little bit better display than Acer ICONIA TAB A501, because although it has a much lower 800 x 480px resolution and a lot smaller display, it also counts with a lot greater pixels amount per screen inch.
