The Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has a general score of 67.4, which is a little bit better than the Microsoft Surface Pro's 63.2 score. Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch is a newer tablet device, and it's also notably lighter and thinner than Microsoft Surface Pro. Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has Android 4.2.2 operating system, and Microsoft Surface Pro works with Windows 8 Pro operating system.

The Microsoft Surface Pro and the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch feature incredibly similar CPUs, because although the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has a smaller amount of RAM, and they both have a Dual-Core processor, it also counts with a much better GPU. Microsoft Surface Pro has a bit better looking screen than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because it has a bit higher pixels count per inch in the screen, a much bigger display and a lot better 1080 x 1920px resolution.

The Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch captures much better photos and videos than Microsoft Surface Pro, and although they both have the same video definition, the Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch also has a lot higher 5 megapixels resolution camera in the back and faster 30 frames per second video frame rate. Microsoft Surface Pro has a very superior storage for apps and games than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because although it has no SD memory card expansion slot, it also counts with 112 GB more internal memory capacity.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch counts with a really longer battery duration than Microsoft Surface Pro.
