The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch is a little bit better than the LG G Pad 8.3, getting a 67.4 score against 65.9. Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch is a just a bit lighter and somewhat thinner portable tablet than LG G Pad 8.3, although both were released with only 3 months difference. These tablets come with Android OS, but Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch has an older 4.2.2 version while LG G Pad 8.3 has Android 4.4.
LG G Pad 8.3 has a more vivid display than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because it has a quite bigger screen, more pixels per inch in the display and a lot higher 1200 x 1920px resolution. LG G Pad 8.3 and Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch both count with incredibly similar memory capacity to install applications and games, both have a slot for SD memory cards that allows a maximum of 64 GB and equal internal storage.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch counts with a bit superior processor than LG G Pad 8.3, because although it has an inferior number of slower cores and lesser RAM memory, it also counts with an additional graphics co-processor. The LG G Pad 8.3 shoots better photos and videos than Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, and although they both have the same resolution camera in the back, the LG G Pad 8.3 also has a much better (Full HD) video quality.
The LG G Pad 8.3 counts with a little better battery performance than Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, because it has a 4600mAh battery capacity against 4450mAh.
Although Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch is a better device, it costs more money than the LG G Pad 8.3, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the LG G Pad 8.3. So if you want that extra features, you can buy Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8-inch, else you can save some dollars and get the LG G Pad 8.3, giving up some specifications.
