Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 has an overall score of 74, which is a little bit better than the Galaxy Tab S 10.5's 73.1 score. Both of these devices have the same Android 4.4.2 OS, so you shouldn't perceive any differences regarding OS features. Although the Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 and Galaxy Tab S 10.5 were released only 5 months apart, Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4's design is just a little bit thicker but lighter than Galaxy Tab S 10.5.

The Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 features a little bit better display than Galaxy Tab S 10.5, because although it has a lot smaller screen, and they both have an equal 2560 x 1600 resolution, the Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 also counts with a just a little better amount of pixels per display inch. The Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 features just a little better hardware performance than Galaxy Tab S 10.5, because although it has 4 less cpu cores and a lower amount of RAM, it also counts with an extra graphics processing unit.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 counts with a bit bigger storage capacity to install applications and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4, and although they both have the same 16 GB internal memory capacity, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 also has an external memory slot that holds a maximum of 128 GB. Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 captures a little bit better pictures and videos than Galaxy Tab S 10.5, and although they both have a back facing camera with an 8 MP resolution and the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality, the Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 also has better 60 frames per second video frame rate.

Galaxy Tab S 10.5 counts with a way better battery life than Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4, because it has a 65 percent more battery capacity.

Although Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Galaxy Tab S 10.5, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Galaxy Tab S 10.5. If you are trying to save some money, you can buy the Galaxy Tab S 10.5, letting go a couple features and specs, but you'll get the most out of your money.
