The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is way better than Acer Iconia One 8, with a 72.2 score against 53.7. Microsoft Surface Pro 3 works with Windows 8.1 Pro OS, and Acer Iconia One 8 counts with Android 5.1 Lollipop OS. Although the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 is older and heavier than Acer Iconia One 8, it's design is still a little thinner.
The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 features a little better performance than Acer Iconia One 8, because although it has a lower number of cores , it also counts with 7 GB more RAM. Microsoft Surface Pro 3 counts with a more vivid screen than Acer Iconia One 8, because it has a lot larger screen, a just a little better count of pixels in each inch in the display and a way better 1440 x 2160px resolution.
Microsoft Surface Pro 3 has a superior memory capacity to install games and applications than Acer Iconia One 8, because although it has no slot for an external memory card, it also counts with more internal storage. The Acer Iconia One 8 counts with a much better battery life than Microsoft Surface Pro 3.
Microsoft Surface Pro 3's camera is just as good as the Acer Iconia One 8 one, both of them have the same resolution camera in the back.

So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy Microsoft Surface Pro 3, else you can save some money and buy the Acer Iconia One 8, giving up a couple specifications.
