Comparison review
The Xperia Tablet Z has a global score of 68.5, which is much better than the Acer Iconia One 8's 53.7 overall score. Both of these tablets work with Android operating system, but the Xperia Tablet Z has the previous 4.4.4 version and Acer Iconia One 8 has Android 5.1 Lollipop. Even though the Xperia Tablet Z is noticeably older and much heavier than the Acer Iconia One 8, it's design is still extremely thinner.
Xperia Tablet Z counts with a bit better processor than Acer Iconia One 8, and although they both have a Quad-Core CPU, the Xperia Tablet Z also has an extra graphics processing unit and a larger amount of RAM memory. The Sony Xperia Tablet Z has a much sharper display than Acer Iconia One 8, because it has a way better 1200 x 1920px resolution, a bigger display and a little bit better pixel density.
Xperia Tablet Z has more memory to store more apps and games than Acer Iconia One 8, because although it has a slot for an external memory card that admits 64 GB smaller, it also counts with 16 GB more internal storage. Sony Xperia Tablet Z captures just a bit better pictures and videos than Acer Iconia One 8, because it has a lot higher 8.1 mega pixels resolution back camera.
The Xperia Tablet Z counts with longer battery life than Acer Iconia One 8, because it has 6000mAh of battery capacity.
Although Sony Xperia Tablet Z is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Acer Iconia One 8, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Acer Iconia One 8. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy Sony Xperia Tablet Z, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and buy the Acer Iconia One 8, resigning some specs and features.
