Comparison review
Galaxy Note 10.1 has a score of 66.3, which is better than Acer Iconia Tab A510's 55.4 general score. These tablets use Android operating system, but Galaxy Note 10.1 has the newer 4.4 version and Acer Iconia Tab A510 has Android 4.0 version, so it gives a couple nice extra features. Although Galaxy Note 10.1 and Acer Iconia Tab A510 were released with only a couple of months difference, Galaxy Note 10.1 is somewhat lighter and thinner.
Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 features a screen that is just as good as Acer Iconia Tab A510's display, both have a display with the same size, the same screen density and an equal 800 x 1280 resolution. Galaxy Note 10.1 counts with a bit faster processing unit than Acer Iconia Tab A510, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Galaxy Note 10.1 also has more RAM.
Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1's camera is just as good as Acer Iconia Tab A510's camera, both have the same 1280x720 video definition, the same video frame rates and a back facing camera with a 5 mega-pixels. Galaxy Note 10.1 features a very superior storage for apps and games than Acer Iconia Tab A510, and although they both have a SD card slot that holds up to 32 GB, the Galaxy Note 10.1 also has 32 GB more internal memory.
Acer Iconia Tab A510 features a way better battery life than Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1, because it has 9800mAh of battery capacity.
Although Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Acer Iconia Tab A510, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Acer Iconia Tab A510. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can buy the Acer Iconia Tab A510, and give up a couple features and specs, but you'll get the most with your savings.
