These tablets have Android OS (operating system), but the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3 has the newer 10 version while Acer Iconia Tab A510 has Android 4.0 version, so it gives you a couple additional features. Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3's body is newer, just a bit thinner and a lot lighter than Acer Iconia Tab A510.
