Comparison review
Galaxy Tab Active is a lot better than the Acer Iconia Tab A510, with a global score of 67 against 55.4. Both devices in our current comparison come with Android operating system, but Galaxy Tab Active has a more recent 4.4 version while Acer Iconia Tab A510 has Android 4.0, providing the user a couple nice extra features. The Galaxy Tab Active design is a lot newer, a lot lighter and thinner than the Acer Iconia Tab A510.
Galaxy Tab Active has a much better looking display than Acer Iconia Tab A510, because although it has a really smaller display, and they both have the same exact resolution of 1280 x 800px, the Galaxy Tab Active also counts with a greater display pixels density. The Galaxy Tab Active counts with a bit superior processing unit than Acer Iconia Tab A510, and although they both have a Quad-Core processor, the Galaxy Tab Active also has a graphics co-processor and a greater amount of RAM memory.
The Acer Iconia Tab A510 features a greater memory to install applications and games than Galaxy Tab Active, because although it has an external SD slot that supports up to 32 GB against 64 GB, it also counts with 32 GB internal storage capacity. The Acer Iconia Tab A510 features a much longer battery life than Samsung Galaxy Tab Active, because it has a 9800mAh battery capacity instead of 4450mAh.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab Active counts with a better camera than Acer Iconia Tab A510, although it has a camera with lot less megapixels and a worse video definition.
Although Galaxy Tab Active is a better device, it is way more expensive than Acer Iconia Tab A510, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Acer Iconia Tab A510. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can get Acer Iconia Tab A510, letting go a couple features and specs, but you'll get the most with your money.
