Comparison review
The Microsoft Surface Pro has a score of 63.2, which is much better than the Acer Iconia W3's 57.3 overall score. Even being the best tablet in this comparison review, Microsoft Surface Pro is a much heavier and extremely thicker tablet than Acer Iconia W3. Both of these devices include the same Windows 8 Pro OS (Operating System), so both should count with the same operating system features.
The Microsoft Surface Pro features a bit better processing unit than Acer Iconia W3, and although they both have a Dual-Core CPU, the Microsoft Surface Pro also has a graphics processor and a greater amount of RAM memory. The Acer Iconia W3 features just a bit better looking display than Microsoft Surface Pro, although it has a little less pixels per inch of display, a really smaller display and a much lower resolution of 800 x 1280px.
Microsoft Surface Pro has a superior memory for applications and games than Acer Iconia W3, because although it has no SD extension slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal memory capacity. The Acer Iconia W3 has a really longer battery life than Microsoft Surface Pro. The Acer Iconia W3 counts with a little bit better camera than Microsoft Surface Pro, because it has a way more mega pixels back facing camera.
Although Microsoft Surface Pro is a better device, it is way more expensive than Acer Iconia W3, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Acer Iconia W3. If you want to save some dollars, you can get the Acer Iconia W3, and give up a few features and specs, but you'll get the most with your savings.
