Comparison review
The Samsung Ativ Tab is better than Acer Iconia W3, with a overall score of 66.7 against 57.3. Both tablets in this comparison include Windows OS, but Samsung Ativ Tab has the newer RT version and Acer Iconia W3 has Windows 8 Pro version, offering some extra features and performance enhancements. Samsung Ativ Tab is a somewhat thinner but heavier device than the Acer Iconia W3.
Samsung Ativ Tab features just a little better performance than Acer Iconia W3, and although they both have the same RAM amount and the same number of cores, the Samsung Ativ Tab also has a graphics co-processor. The Acer Iconia W3 features a much better looking screen than Samsung Ativ Tab, because although it has a bit smaller screen and a little bit lower resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels, it also counts with a little more pixels per display inch.
The Samsung Ativ Tab features a very superior memory for apps and games than Acer Iconia W3. They have equal 64 GB internal storage. The Samsung Ativ Tab has a way better battery life than Acer Iconia W3, because it has 8200mAh of battery capacity instead of 3400mAh. Samsung Ativ Tab takes much clearer photos and videos than Acer Iconia W3, because it has a camera in the back with a lot better resolution.
Although Samsung Ativ Tab is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Acer Iconia W3, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Acer Iconia W3. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can buy Acer Iconia W3, and give up a few specs and features, but you will get the most out of your budget.
