Comparison review
The Galaxy Tab 10.1 is slightly better than Acer Iconia W3, getting a score of 58.1 against 57.3. Galaxy Tab 10.1 has Android 4.0.4 operating system, and Acer Iconia W3 comes with Windows 8 Pro operating system. Galaxy Tab 10.1's construction is heavier but somewhat thinner than the Acer Iconia W3.
Acer Iconia W3 has a little sharper screen than Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, because although it has a quite smaller display, and they both have exactly the same 800 x 1280 resolution, the Acer Iconia W3 also counts with a quite higher display density. The Acer Iconia W3 features a much better memory capacity to store more apps and games than Galaxy Tab 10.1, because it has 64 GB internal memory.
The Acer Iconia W3 has a faster processing unit than Galaxy Tab 10.1. They have the same number of cores. Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 counts with a much longer battery life than Acer Iconia W3, because it has 6800mAh of battery capacity instead of 3400mAh. Galaxy Tab 10.1 captures way better photos and videos than Acer Iconia W3, because it has a back-facing camera with way more megapixels.
Although Galaxy Tab 10.1 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Acer Iconia W3, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Acer Iconia W3. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy Galaxy Tab 10.1, else you can save a couple dollars and get the Acer Iconia W3, letting go a couple specs and features.
