Comparison review
Microsoft Surface 2 has a general score of 63.4, which is just a bit better than the Acer Iconia W4's global score of 59.3. Microsoft Surface 2 is a somewhat thinner but a lot heavier tablet than Acer Iconia W4. These tablets come with Windows operating system, but the Microsoft Surface 2 has a newer RT 8.1 version while Acer Iconia W4 has Windows 8.1.
The Microsoft Surface 2 features a little bit better performance than Acer Iconia W4. Both of them have 4 cpu cores and 2 GB of RAM memory. The Acer Iconia W4 counts with a bit sharper display than Microsoft Surface 2, although it has a way worse resolution of 800 x 1280 pixels, a little bit inferior pixel quantity in each inch of display and a much smaller screen.
The Acer Iconia W4 has a much better camera than Microsoft Surface 2. Both have the same video frame rates, a back camera with a 5 MP resolution and the same (Full HD) video definition. The Microsoft Surface 2 features as much memory to install applications and games or saving photos and videos as the Acer Iconia W4, and although the Microsoft Surface 2 has no slot for an external memory card, they both have exactly the same 64 GB internal storage capacity.
Acer Iconia W4 has a way better battery performance than Microsoft Surface 2.
Although Microsoft Surface 2 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Acer Iconia W4, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Acer Iconia W4. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy Microsoft Surface 2, else you can save some dollars and buy the Acer Iconia W4, giving up some specifications.
