Comparison review
The Microsoft Surface 2 has a general score of 63.4, which is slightly better than Acer Predator 8's global score of 57.7. The Microsoft Surface 2 works with Windows RT 8.1 operating system, and Acer Predator 8 has Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system. Even being the best tablet we compare here, we must highlight that it's also older, much heavier and a bit thicker.
The Microsoft Surface 2 has a bit faster processing unit than Acer Predator 8. They have 2 GB of RAM memory and the same number of cores. Microsoft Surface 2 and Acer Predator 8 count with really similar screens, because although the Microsoft Surface 2 has a little bit worse 1080 x 1920 resolution and much lesser pixels per inch of screen, it also counts with a really larger screen.
Acer Predator 8 features a little bit better storage capacity for games and applications than Microsoft Surface 2, although it has only 32 GB internal memory. The Microsoft Surface 2's camera is just as good as the camera in Acer Predator 8, they have the same resolution camera. The Acer Predator 8 counts with a superior battery lifetime than Microsoft Surface 2.
Although Microsoft Surface 2 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Acer Predator 8, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Acer Predator 8. So if you want that extra features, you can buy the Microsoft Surface 2, but if you don't you can save some dollars and buy the Acer Predator 8, letting go a couple features and specs.
