Comparison review

Galaxy Tab 10.1 has a general score of 58.1, which is slightly better than Acer Predator 8's overall score of 57.7. The Galaxy Tab 10.1 is a notably heavier tablet than the Acer Predator 8, but both are 0.34inches thick. Both tablets we compare here use Android operating system, but Galaxy Tab 10.1 has 4.0.4 version and Acer Predator 8 has Android 5.1 Lollipop.

The Acer Predator 8 counts with a better performing processing unit than Galaxy Tab 10.1, because it has a greater number of cores (and faster). Acer Predator 8 features a little bit better screen than Galaxy Tab 10.1, because although it has a way smaller screen, it also counts with a way better 1200 x 1920 resolution and a way higher display density.

Galaxy Tab 10.1 captures a bit better videos and photos than Acer Predator 8, although it has a back-facing camera with a lot lower resolution. Acer Predator 8 features a lot bigger memory to install games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, and although they both have exactly the same 32 GB internal memory capacity, the Acer Predator 8 also has a SD memory card expansion slot that supports up to 128 GB.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 counts with a way better battery duration than Acer Predator 8, because it has a 6800mAh battery capacity against 4420mAh.

Although Galaxy Tab 10.1 is a better device, it is more expensive than Acer Predator 8, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Acer Predator 8. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can get the Acer Predator 8, giving up a couple features and specs, but you will get the most out of your budget.
