Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has a score of 62.8, which is just a bit better than Acer Predator 8's 57.7 overall score. Even though Galaxy Tab A 8.0 and the Acer Predator 8 were released with only 6 months difference, Galaxy Tab A 8.0 is thinner and lighter. Both of these tablets come with Android operating system, but the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has a more recent 7.1 Nougat version and Acer Predator 8 has Android 5.1 Lollipop, giving you some additional features.

Acer Predator 8 has a little bit better processing power than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Acer Predator 8 also has a higher amount of RAM. The Acer Predator 8 counts with a much better looking screen than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, and although they both have a same size screen, the Acer Predator 8 also has a way greater pixels amount per inch of screen and a lot better resolution of 1200 x 1920px.

The Acer Predator 8 and the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 both have quite similar cameras, both have the same resolution back facing camera.
