Comparison review
The Alcatel JOY TAB 2 has a general score of 62.5, which is just a bit better than Dell Venue 8 7840's 61 global score. Although it's the best portable tablet in this review, the Alcatel JOY TAB 2 is a just a little bit heavier and much thicker portable tablet than Dell Venue 8 7840. Both devices in our current comparison use Android OS, but the Alcatel JOY TAB 2 has a newer 10 version and Dell Venue 8 7840 has Android 4.4, so it counts with a couple nice extra features and performance enhancements.
The Dell Venue 8 7840 counts with a way better display than Alcatel JOY TAB 2, because it has a much greater pixels count per inch of display, a little bigger screen and a much better 2560 x 1600 resolution. The Alcatel JOY TAB 2 counts with a bit bigger memory to install applications and games than Dell Venue 8 7840, because although it has a slot for an SD memory card that admits a maximum of 256 GB against 512 GB, it also counts with 16 GB more internal memory capacity.
Dell Venue 8 7840 has a superior performance than Alcatel JOY TAB 2, because although it has a smaller amount of RAM, and they both have the same number of cores, the Dell Venue 8 7840 also counts with a 64-bits CPU and an additional GPU. Alcatel JOY TAB 2 takes better photos and videos than Dell Venue 8 7840, although it has a lot less megapixels camera.
The Alcatel JOY TAB 2 features a very superior battery life than Dell Venue 8 7840.
Despite of being the best tablet of the ones we compare here, the Alcatel JOY TAB 2 is also very cheap compared to the other tablets, which makes it a no doubt choice.
