Comparison review
Microsoft Surface 3 is slightly better than the Alcatel JOY TAB 2, getting a 66.3 score against 62.5. The Microsoft Surface 3 body has the same thickness than the Alcatel JOY TAB 2, but it is a lot heavier. The Microsoft Surface 3 counts with a little sharper screen than Alcatel JOY TAB 2, because it has a quite higher number of pixels per inch in the screen, a much higher 1920 x 1280 resolution and a lot bigger screen.
The Alcatel JOY TAB 2 counts with a bit more powerful processing unit than Microsoft Surface 3, although it has 1 GB lesser RAM memory, they both have the same number of cores. Alcatel JOY TAB 2 has a little bit better camera than Microsoft Surface 3, although it has a camera in the back with a lot worse 5 MP resolution and a lower video definition.
The Microsoft Surface 3 counts with a better memory capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Alcatel JOY TAB 2, because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with 128 GB internal memory. Alcatel JOY TAB 2 features a very superior battery life than Microsoft Surface 3.
Although Microsoft Surface 3 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Alcatel JOY TAB 2, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Alcatel JOY TAB 2. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can get the Alcatel JOY TAB 2, and give up a few specs and features, but you will get the most with your budget.
