The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has a score of 62.8, which is slightly better than Alcatel JOY TAB 2's overall score of 62.5. Both of these devices come with Android OS (Operating System), but the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has the newer 7.1 Nougat version while Alcatel JOY TAB 2 has Android 10 version, so it provides you some extra features and increased performance. Alcatel JOY TAB 2 features a much better storage for applications and games than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0, because it has 32 GB internal memory and a slot for an SD memory card that holds up to 256 GB. The Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has just a bit better battery performance than Alcatel JOY TAB 2, because it has 4200mAh of battery capacity against 4080mAh.
Alcatel JOY TAB 2 features a much better camera than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, and although they both have a same resolution camera in the back, the Alcatel JOY TAB 2 also has a way higher video definition.

So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy Galaxy Tab A 8.0, else you can save some money and get the Alcatel JOY TAB 2, resigning a couple specifications.
