Alcatel JOY TAB 2 has a score of 62.5, which is just a bit better than the Sony Tablet S's score of 57.5. Both devices in this review use Android OS (Operating System), but the Alcatel JOY TAB 2 has the newer 10 version and Sony Tablet S has Android 4.0 version. The Alcatel JOY TAB 2 is a notably newer tablet device, and it is also incredibly lighter and somewhat thinner than the Sony Tablet S.
Alcatel JOY TAB 2 counts with a more powerful processing unit than Sony Tablet S, because it has 2 GB more RAM memory and more cpu cores. Sony Tablet S features a display that is just as good as the display in Alcatel JOY TAB 2, because although the Sony Tablet S has a just a little worse pixels density, and they both have the same exact 800 x 1280 resolution, it also counts with a larger screen.
The Alcatel JOY TAB 2 has a superior memory to store more apps and games than Sony Tablet S, and although they both have equal internal storage, the Alcatel JOY TAB 2 also has a SD memory slot that allows up to 256 GB. The Sony Tablet S counts with better battery lifetime than Alcatel JOY TAB 2, because it has a 5000mAh battery capacity.
The Alcatel JOY TAB 2 takes a bit better photographs and videos than Sony Tablet S, and although they both have the same resolution camera, the Alcatel JOY TAB 2 also has a way better 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality.
