The Sony Xperia Tablet Z is a bit better than the Alcatel JOY TAB 2, getting a general score of 68.5 against 62.5. Even though the Sony Xperia Tablet Z is much older and notably heavier than Alcatel JOY TAB 2, it's construction is still a lot thinner. These tablets include Android operating system, but the Sony Xperia Tablet Z has 4.4.4 version and Alcatel JOY TAB 2 has Android 10, so it provides the user a couple additional features and performance enhancements.
The Xperia Tablet Z features a much better screen than Alcatel JOY TAB 2, because it has a lot better resolution of 1200 x 1920 pixels, a bigger screen and a bit more pixels per inch of display. The Alcatel JOY TAB 2 features a bit faster processor than Xperia Tablet Z, because although it has doesn't have a graphics processing unit, and they both have the same number of cores, the Alcatel JOY TAB 2 also counts with a higher amount of RAM memory.
Alcatel JOY TAB 2 features a little bit better camera than Xperia Tablet Z, although it has a lower (Full HD) video resolution and a much worse 5 mega-pixels resolution back camera. Alcatel JOY TAB 2 counts with a bigger storage to store more games and applications than Xperia Tablet Z, and although they both have equal 32 GB internal storage, the Alcatel JOY TAB 2 also has a SD card slot that allows up to 256 GB.
Xperia Tablet Z features a superior battery performance than Alcatel JOY TAB 2, because it has a 47% larger battery size.
Although Sony Xperia Tablet Z is a better device, it costs a lot more than Alcatel JOY TAB 2, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Alcatel JOY TAB 2. If you prefer to save some money, you can buy Alcatel JOY TAB 2, and give up a couple features, but you will get the most with your budget.
