Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a global score of 67.9, which is way better than the Amazon Fire HD 10's 54.8 general score. Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is a somewhat lighter tablet than the Amazon Fire HD 10, but both are 0.3inches thick. Both tablets in this comparison review have Android OS, but the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has an older 4.4 version and Amazon Fire HD 10 has Android 5.0 Lollipop version.
Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features a little bit better performance than Amazon Fire HD 10, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 also has more RAM memory. Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features an incredibly better display than Amazon Fire HD 10, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a much better 1600 x 2560 resolution and a much better pixel amount per screen inch.
The Amazon Fire HD 10 features just a bit more storage to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, because although it has 0 less internal memory capacity, it also counts with a SD memory card expansion slot that holds up to 128 GB. Amazon Fire HD 10 and Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 feature quite similar battery performance.
The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 counts with a very superior camera than Amazon Fire HD 10, and although they both have the same 1920x1080 video resolution and the same video frame rates, the Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 also has a back camera with lot more megapixels.
Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 costs a lot more money than the Amazon Fire HD 10, but you can get a much better tablet for that extra money.
