Comparison review

The Microsoft Surface 2 is much better than Amazon Fire HD 10, getting a general score of 63.4 against 54.8. The Microsoft Surface 2 works with Windows RT 8.1 OS, and Amazon Fire HD 10 works with Android 5.0 Lollipop OS. The Microsoft Surface 2 is a older, thicker and way heavier tablet than Amazon Fire HD 10.

The Microsoft Surface 2 features a little better performance than Amazon Fire HD 10, and although they both have 4 cpu cores, the Microsoft Surface 2 also has a greater amount of RAM memory. Microsoft Surface 2 features a much better looking display than Amazon Fire HD 10, because it has a lot better 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution, a bit larger display and a better display density.

Amazon Fire HD 10 features just a bit more memory to store more games and applications than Microsoft Surface 2, although it has just 32 GB internal storage. The Microsoft Surface 2's battery lifetime is very similar to the battery performance in Amazon Fire HD 10. Microsoft Surface 2 captures much clearer videos and photos than Amazon Fire HD 10. Both of them have the same (Full HD) video resolution, a camera with a 5 megapixels and the same video frame rates.

Although Microsoft Surface 2 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Amazon Fire HD 10, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Amazon Fire HD 10. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy the Microsoft Surface 2, but if you don't you can save some dollars and buy the Amazon Fire HD 10, resigning a couple specifications.
