Comparison review

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 is much better than Amazon Fire HD 10, getting a 62.8 score against 54.8. Both tablets we compare here come with Android OS (operating system), but the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has a more recent 7.1 Nougat version and Amazon Fire HD 10 has Android 5.0 Lollipop version, offering a couple nice extra features and increased performance. Even though the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 and the Amazon Fire HD 10 were only released 5 months apart, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 is just a bit thinner and noticeably lighter.

The Amazon Fire HD 10 features a bit better CPU than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, although it has 512 MB less RAM, they both have the same number of cores. Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has a little sharper display than Amazon Fire HD 10, because although it has a bit worse resolution of 768 x 1024px and a much smaller screen, it also counts with a just a little better pixel density.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 captures much clearer photographs and videos than Amazon Fire HD 10. Both have the same resolution back facing camera, the same 1280x720 (HD) video quality and the same video frame rates. The Amazon Fire HD 10 counts with a much bigger memory for applications, games, photos and videos than Galaxy Tab A 8.0, and although they both have a slot for an external memory card that supports a maximum of 128 GB, the Amazon Fire HD 10 also has 32 GB internal memory.

Galaxy Tab A 8.0 has a very superior battery duration than Amazon Fire HD 10.

Galaxy Tab A 8.0 is not only the best tablets between the ones we are comparing, but it's also by far the cheapest, which makes it a no doubt choice.
