The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has a general score of 67.9, which is a bit better than the Amazon Fire HD 10 (2019)'s general score of 62.4. The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is an older portable tablet than the Amazon Fire HD 10 (2019), but Amazon managed to build it noticeably lighter and a lot thinner. Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has Android 4.4 OS, while Amazon Fire HD 10 (2019) counts with Android, Amazon Fire UI OS.
Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 features a much more vibrant screen than Amazon Fire HD 10 (2019), because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a lot higher display density and a better 1600 x 2560 resolution. Amazon Fire HD 10 (2019) has a way bigger memory to install games and applications than Amazon Fire HDX 8.9, because although it has 0 less internal storage, it also counts with a slot for an SD memory card that holds up to 512 GB.
Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has just a bit better processing power than Amazon Fire HD 10 (2019), although it has a lower number of cores (although faster), they both have the same RAM memory amount. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can get Amazon Fire HD 10 (2019), and give up a few features and specs, but you will get the most out of your budget.
