Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020) has Android 9.0 Pie OS, while Amazon Fire HD 10 (2019) has Android, Amazon Fire UI OS. The Galaxy Tab A 8.4 (2020) is a noticeably thinner and extremely lighter tablet device than the Amazon Fire HD 10 (2019), even though both of them were released only a couple months apart.
