Comparison review
Asus MeMO Pad 8 is much better than Amazon Fire HD 6, getting a 61.2 score against 55. Both of these tablets come with the same Android 4.4 operating system, so you shouldn't perceive any differences regarding operating system features. Although Asus MeMO Pad 8 and the Amazon Fire HD 6 were only released 4 months apart, the Asus MeMO Pad 8 body is noticeably thinner but a bit heavier than the Amazon Fire HD 6.
Asus MeMO Pad 8 has a bit better performance than Amazon Fire HD 6, and although they both have 4 cores, the Asus MeMO Pad 8 also has more RAM memory. The Amazon Fire HD 6 has a slightly better screen than Asus MeMO Pad 8, although it has a lot smaller screen, a little lower pixel count in each display inch and a way worse 1280 x 800px resolution.
The Asus MeMO Pad 8 has much more storage capacity to install applications and games than Amazon Fire HD 6, because it has a slot for SD memory cards that supports up to 64 GB and 32 GB internal storage capacity. The Asus MeMO Pad 8 counts with a much better camera than Amazon Fire HD 6, and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same video quality, the Asus MeMO Pad 8 also has a back-facing camera with lot more mega-pixels.
The Asus MeMO Pad 8's battery life is very similar to Amazon Fire HD 6's battery life.
The Asus MeMO Pad 8 is a lot more expensive than the Amazon Fire HD 6, but you can get a better tablet for that few more dollars.
