Comparison review
Microsoft Surface Pro is better than the Amazon Fire HD 6, having a general score of 63.2 against 55. The Microsoft Surface Pro comes with Windows 8 Pro OS, and Amazon Fire HD 6 has Android 4.4 OS. Although it's the best in this comparison review, Microsoft Surface Pro is a older, notably thicker and incredibly heavier portable tablet than the Amazon Fire HD 6.
Amazon Fire HD 6 features a little sharper screen than Microsoft Surface Pro, because although it has a much smaller display and a lot worse resolution of 1280 x 800px, it also counts with a just a little higher pixels count in each inch in the display. The Microsoft Surface Pro counts with much more memory capacity to store more games and applications than Amazon Fire HD 6, because it has 128 GB internal storage capacity.
Microsoft Surface Pro has a bit better processor than Amazon Fire HD 6, because although it has less cores (but faster), it also counts with a greater amount of RAM memory and a graphics co-processor. The Microsoft Surface Pro and Amazon Fire HD 6 feature quite similar battery performance. The Amazon Fire HD 6 has just a bit better camera than Microsoft Surface Pro, because it has a back facing camera with a much better 2 mega pixels resolution and a lot better 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality.
Although Microsoft Surface Pro is a better device, it costs a lot more than Amazon Fire HD 6, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Amazon Fire HD 6. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy the Microsoft Surface Pro, else you can save some dollars and get the Amazon Fire HD 6, giving up some features and specifications.
