The Samsung Ativ Tab is way better than the Amazon Fire HD 6, getting a score of 66.7 against 55. The Samsung Ativ Tab works with Windows RT operating system, and Amazon Fire HD 6 works with Android 4.4 operating system. Although the Samsung Ativ Tab is noticeably older and way heavier than Amazon Fire HD 6, it's body is still somewhat thinner.
Samsung Ativ Tab features a bit better hardware performance than Amazon Fire HD 6, because although it has an inferior number of cores, it also counts with a graphics co-processor and 1 GB more RAM. The Amazon Fire HD 6 features a sharper screen than Samsung Ativ Tab, because although it has a little worse resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels and a way smaller screen, it also counts with a much better pixels number per display inch.
Samsung Ativ Tab features a way bigger memory for applications and games than Amazon Fire HD 6, because it has 64 GB internal memory capacity and an external memory slot that supports up to 64 GB. The Samsung Ativ Tab has a superior battery lifetime than Amazon Fire HD 6. The Samsung Ativ Tab counts with a better camera than Amazon Fire HD 6, and although they both have the same video definition and the same video frame rates, the Samsung Ativ Tab also has a way more mega pixels camera in the back.
Although Samsung Ativ Tab is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Amazon Fire HD 6, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Amazon Fire HD 6. If you prefer to save a few dollars, you can get the Amazon Fire HD 6, letting go a couple features, but you will get the most out of your budget.
