Comparison review
The Galaxy Tab A 9.7 has a global score of 60.5, which is a little bit better than Amazon Fire HD 6's 55 overall score. Both tablets in this comparison review use Android OS, but Galaxy Tab A 9.7 has the newer 7.1 Nougat version and Amazon Fire HD 6 has Android 4.4 version, providing a couple nice extra features. Even though the Galaxy Tab A 9.7 and the Amazon Fire HD 6 were only released with a few months difference, the Galaxy Tab A 9.7 body is much heavier but a lot thinner than the Amazon Fire HD 6.
Amazon Fire HD 6 has a way better display than Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7, because although it has a way smaller screen, it also counts with a much higher pixel density and a slightly better resolution of 1280 x 800px. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 features a much bigger memory capacity for apps and games than Amazon Fire HD 6, and although they both have equal 16 GB internal memory capacity, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 also has a slot for an SD memory card that allows a maximum of 128 GB.
The Amazon Fire HD 6 counts with a little better processing power than Galaxy Tab A 9.7, although it has a smaller amount of RAM memory, they both have the same number of cores. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 captures much better pictures and videos than Amazon Fire HD 6, and although they both have the same (HD) video definition and the same video frame rate, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 also has a lot more mega-pixels camera in the back.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 9.7 costs a lot more money than Amazon Fire HD 6, but you can get a better tablet for that extra money.
