Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 is a lot better than the Amazon Fire HD 6, with a 74.5 score against 55. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 construction is way thinner but a little heavier than Amazon Fire HD 6, and both were released with only 4 months difference. These devices work with Android operating system, but Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has a newer 4.4.2 version while Amazon Fire HD 6 has Android 4.4 version.
Galaxy Tab S 8.4 features a better display than Amazon Fire HD 6, because it has a much larger display, a greater pixels density and a much better resolution of 2560 x 1600. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 has a superior memory capacity to store more games and applications than Amazon Fire HD 6, because it has more internal memory capacity and a SD extension slot that admits up to 128 GB.
The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 features a little faster processing unit than Amazon Fire HD 6, because it has a higher number of cores (and also faster) and more RAM memory. The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 features a much better battery life than Amazon Fire HD 6. The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 counts with a greater camera than Amazon Fire HD 6, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same 1920x1080 video quality, the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 also has a camera with way more mega-pixels.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 is a lot more expensive than Amazon Fire HD 6, but you can get a much better tablet for that few more dollars.
