Comparison review
The Sony Xperia Tablet S has a general score of 58.9, which is just a bit better than Amazon Fire HD 6's 55 global score. These tablets work with Android operating system, but Sony Xperia Tablet S has 4.1.1 version and Amazon Fire HD 6 has Android 4.4 version. Even being the best in this comparison review, it must be told that it's also a notably older, way heavier and somewhat thicker tablet.
Amazon Fire HD 6 has a sharper screen than Sony Xperia Tablet S, because although it has a way smaller screen, and they both have exactly the same resolution of 1280 x 800px, the Amazon Fire HD 6 also counts with a much higher display density. Xperia Tablet S features a bit faster processing unit than Amazon Fire HD 6, and although they both have 1 GB of RAM and 4 cores, the Xperia Tablet S also has an additional GPU.
Xperia Tablet S has a much better memory capacity to install games and applications than Amazon Fire HD 6, because it has more internal memory capacity and a SD memory slot that admits up to 128 GB. Sony Xperia Tablet S takes much better photographs and videos than Amazon Fire HD 6, because it has a way better 8 mega pixels resolution camera in the back.
Sony Xperia Tablet S and Amazon Fire HD 6 count with quite similar battery performance.
Although Sony Xperia Tablet S is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Amazon Fire HD 6, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Amazon Fire HD 6. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy Sony Xperia Tablet S, else you can save some dollars and get the Amazon Fire HD 6, resigning some features and specs.
