Amazon Fire HD 10 (2019) has a global score of 62.4, which is a bit better than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020)'s general score of 58.6. Despite being the best in this comparison, Amazon Fire HD 10 (2019) is a just a little thicker and extremely heavier tablet device than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020). Amazon Fire HD 10 (2019) has Android, Amazon Fire UI OS, while Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) has Android 9.0 Pie OS.
The Amazon Fire HD 10 (2019) features a bit superior processing unit than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), and although they both have a 2 GB RAM memory, the Amazon Fire HD 10 (2019) also has a larger number of cores. Amazon Fire HD 10 (2019) features a bit sharper screen than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), because it has a quite greater pixel amount per inch of screen, a much better 1200 x 1920 resolution and a larger display.

So if you want that extra specs, you can buy the Amazon Fire HD 10 (2019), otherwise you can save some dollars and get the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), letting go some specifications.
