The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 is better than the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), getting a general score of 67.9 against 58.6. Both of these tablets include Android OS (operating system), but Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 has the older 4.4 version while Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) has Android 9.0 Pie. Amazon Fire HDX 8.9's design is notably thinner than the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), but it is a little heavier and was released many years before.
The Amazon Fire HDX 8.9 counts with a much better screen than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), because it has a much higher pixels density, a little larger screen and a lot higher resolution of 1600 x 2560 pixels.
