Comparison review
The Microsoft Surface 2 has a global score of 63.4, which is just a bit better than the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020)'s 58.6 general score. The Microsoft Surface 2 comes with Windows RT 8.1 OS, and Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) works with Android 9.0 Pie OS. Microsoft Surface 2 is a incredibly older and incredibly heavier tablet than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), but Microsoft was able to make it a little bit thinner anyway.
Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) features a bit faster CPU than Microsoft Surface 2. Both have a 2 GB RAM memory and 4 cpu cores. Microsoft Surface 2 has just a bit better screen than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), because it has a much bigger display, a much better 1080 x 1920 resolution and a just a bit higher count of pixels in each inch in the screen.
Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) features a very superior storage capacity for apps and games than Microsoft Surface 2, although it has 0 less internal storage. The Microsoft Surface 2 captures much clearer photos and videos than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), because it has a back facing camera with a lot better 5 MP resolution and a way better 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution.
The Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) and the Microsoft Surface 2 count with quite similar battery performance.
Although Microsoft Surface 2 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020). So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy Microsoft Surface 2, otherwise you can save some money and buy the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), resigning some features and specifications.
