Microsoft Surface 3 has a general score of 66.3, which is better than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020)'s global score of 58.6. The Microsoft Surface 3 design is thinner than the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), although it is much heavier and was released many years before. Microsoft Surface 3 counts with a little sharper screen than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), because it has a quite greater pixel density, a way bigger screen and a lot better 1920 x 1280 pixels resolution.
The Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) features just a little better performance than Microsoft Surface 3, although it has a smaller amount of RAM, they both have the same number of cores. The Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) counts with a bit more storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Microsoft Surface 3, because although it has 0 less internal storage, it also counts with a slot for an external memory card that allows a maximum of 1000 GB.
Microsoft Surface 3's battery lifetime is very similar to Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020)'s battery lifetime. The Microsoft Surface 3 counts with a way better camera than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), because it has a way more MP camera in the back and a much better video resolution.
