Comparison review
The Microsoft Surface Pro has a score of 63.2, which is slightly better than the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020)'s 58.6 global score. Microsoft Surface Pro works with Windows 8 Pro operating system, while Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) comes with Android 9.0 Pie operating system. Although it's the best portable tablet in this comparison review, the Microsoft Surface Pro body is extremely older, noticeably thicker and a lot heavier than the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020).
Microsoft Surface Pro counts with a bit more vivid display than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), because it has a lot larger display, a quite better pixels density and a lot higher resolution of 1080 x 1920. The Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) features just a bit bigger memory capacity for apps and games than Microsoft Surface Pro, although it has less internal memory capacity.
Microsoft Surface Pro counts with a bit faster CPU than Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), because although it has 2 less and slower cpu cores, it also counts with more RAM memory and a graphics processor. The Microsoft Surface Pro's battery performance is just as good as the battery duration in Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020).
The Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) shoots a bit better photographs and videos than Microsoft Surface Pro, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same 1280x720 (HD) video resolution, the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020) also has a much higher 2 mega pixels resolution back facing camera.
Although Microsoft Surface Pro is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020). So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy Microsoft Surface Pro, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and buy the Amazon Fire HD 8 (2020), letting go some features and specifications.
